My Teddy

I have a little teddy bear

His name I have forgot,

He sits upon my pillow

I love him quite a lot.

His fur was once pale yellow

But now he's rather bald,

He still has both his eyes and ears

But I don't know what he's called.

My mum often used to wash him

And hang him out to dry,

Hanging by his ears on the line

I'm sure I heard him cry.

At night I would hold him close

Warm and safe as I slept,

All of my childhood toys have gone

Only my teddy have I kept.
